A day at Leah's house

I went over to Leah's house yesterday to hang out. It was a very fulfilling day; I did her makeup and also filmed it so i'll link it here when it goes up. But for now i'll put some pictures of the look.

WATCH THE VIDEO HERE:

I used her NYX palette for brown eyes, which obviously can be used on any eye color. The palette has different shades of purple, brown, and a really nice bright green. It also has variations of highlight colors, which is nice to change up your looks.

On Leah's cheeks is a bronzing powder by modelista, and on her lips is the wet&wild mega color lipstick in just peachy. She has nothing else on her face, isn't it amazing?

Now onto what this post is REALLY about! I haven't done anyone's nails for a LONG time, so i wanted her to be my guinea pig :P

As you can see i did a really simple cheetah print on all her toes, with a bright turquoise as a base. I love this combo because it really pops! And Leah loves it too, right Leah? haha. i used my black skinny brush nail polish to make half circles and dots and such. I think cheetah is the easiest style to do on your nails. You all should give it a try!

Nail Polish Haul

HI :)
I had a phase in the past where I was all into painting my nails and decorating them and such, then it all stopped! I decided to give my nails a little more attention, and I need to get my creative juices flowing again!

I've noticed that I have been buying a lot of nail polishes lately, so I thought I'd show you all what I picked up! heeerrree weeee gooo!

I got these NYX nail polishes from my local drug store for $1.99. Not a bad price right?
These aren't your usual nail polishes, these are the ones with the skinny brushes. It's a lot easier to do designs with these types of brushes because you get much more control and you can totally get into detail. Don't these colors remind you of independence day?

I got more skinny brush nail polishes from jeans warehouse, I'm not sure if it's only in Hawaii or not? but these were only $1.99! so i just had to try them out! I got gold glitter, red glitter, and a simple black. I also picked up a regular nail polish that's a kind of mauve/taupe color (the flash washed it out).

Here's some nail polish swatches. On the left is an NYX nail polish in "yuppies" that I bought along with the other NYX polishes. On the right is a nail polish by Beauty Treats called "vintage"

I got this glittery nail polish at walmart yesterday. I wish it was more chunky glitter but it's more little glitter than chunky. It's called "starry silver glitter". As you can see there's blue and pink/purple chunks of glitter, and just little silver glitter.

These little crystals were my favorite purchases! I got all six in a pack for $3.99! They add a little sophistication to any nail design! Pretty easy to apply as well. Soooo excited to use these!

When I get back into the swing of things, I'll definitely do a blog post on nail designs! Thanks for taking the time to read my blog guys, until next time!!

what's on my face?

Guess who decided to make a video today?!?
me me me!!

So i was contemplating on what video to make today, when AHA! it hit me! Never filmed a face routine video, and why not this be the time to do it? I'm finally content with how my face routine for summer is, and since its basically summer all year round here in Hawaii, I don't believe it will change much. I do however have another routine, which I will do another video on as well. This one is the simpler of the two, so i put this up first. Enjoy!

Products used/mentioned:

LUSH color supplements- I used both ones with the yellow undertone, i love the consistency and coverage that these give me!

Foundation brush is from Walmart (no brand) but i love it! thanks boyfrann ;)
blends product in so well, love the finish it gives!

I used Espresso e/s by MAC and an angled brush to fill in my brows, then brushed through them with a spool tipped brush for a natural look

I'm a C4 in the MAC studio fix. I pretty much use it to set the color supp's, and for a little more coverage. This adorable kabuki is from Forever21! super soft!

On my cheeks i used Peaches blush by MAC, with a MAC 129 blush brush. This color gives my face a nice flushed glow. I think I use this blush almost everyday.

Here's my video on my face routine. See how i get the look!

New to Blogger!!

I went out on a whim and decided to create my own little blog! I'm not exactly sure what to write in this first blog post, but i feel it should be something pretty interesting, since its kind of like a preview for a movie. The decision maker on if you want to watch it or not, you know? lol. Well this blog will consist of video's about makeup, fashion and such, as well as posts on quick reviews and raves! i absolutely LOVE makeup, and if you let me, I'd like to share my love with you!

I guess i'll start off this blog with my favorites from the month of June. Enjoy!

Stay tuned for more!
