I sound like a frog

So, I lost my voice. I don't even know how it happened, but I woke up one day with a sore throat. I brushed it off and it went away a couple hours later. The next day I woke up sounding like a croak; my voice was cracking like nobody's business. Kinda funny really, I enjoy my voice when it's lost, I get a real crack outta it (: I had work that night, and felt horrible because for custies to hear me I literally had to yell, my voice was as weak as I am (very week indeed) -__- I really wanted to film a review video for a new shower gel (its raining men; my l/e fave) and maybe another tutorial for you, but nooooo. I didn't want to sound like a frog in videos! My voice is slowly coming to, but I find myself coughing every few minutes, rawr. Hopefully I get well soon, I've done some home remedies (like sucking on ginger, don't recommend it) like honey, coconut water, etc. but I think only time will heal me. Once I get better I will film, but for now blogging is good. until next time!

puppy love

So I don't know if you all watch my youtube videos, but a couple video's ago I posted a tag featuring my new puppy Bully. As you may know I do have my other puppy Zara, but she is staying at the bf's house. Bully is here with me because the vet said we shouldn't expose him to other puppies until he has all of his vaccinations. It's been about a month and a half that he's been with me (in my room no less) and boy it's been a whirlwind! Don't get me wrong, I adore him; having someone to come home to and him jumping on me and licking my face and stuff. It's a joy and I love his company, I've wanted my own puppy for sooo long! I love to buy him toys and playing with him on the floor, I guess I get somewhat of a workout too, which I'm not complaining about.

The thing is though, it is REALLY HARD! Bully stays in my bathroom, mainly because the weather has been crap, haha. It is a lot easier to clean up my bathroom rather than the balcony. He is growing super duper fast and can reach the toilet paper roll! I came home to it half chewed up today -__- and little bits of it all over the floor. I enjoy that he is somewhat potty-trained though! Makes things much easier. Did I mention he's a pitbull? They are known to be real aggressive but I'd say they are one of the most loving. Bully IS aggressive indeed, which makes things hard. A part of me thinks he growls and barks at me because in his mind it's his way of playing, but the other part knows he's pissed for some reason or other. I have way to many scratches on my arms and legs, and he just recently attacked my face! We were playing, so I can say he didn't mean to do it (i hope), but he jumped up and nearly ate my eye! Well, maybe not that dramatic, but I'm left with a scratch under my right eye.

apologies for being so absent from my blog! i don't know what it was, but i think i got bloggers block. but i promise promise PROMISE i will get on it and very soon! i've got some blog reviews i want to do for you girls, so please stick with me!

cupcakes on my nails

So I went to my niece's 1st birthday this past Saturday and her theme was cupcakes & ladybugs, cute right?! I actually had baked about 75 cupcakes for the party for the kiddos to decorate. Anyway, haha me being totally in love with cupcakes (their taste, look, smell, feel, lol) was inspired to do some colorful nail art designs for the party! Doing both hands took me all of about 2 hours, but it was totally worth it! You like?

I am IN LOVE with how they turned out. I wanted each nail to be a different design, but wanted to keep the colors somewhat monochromatic. This would be an awesome nail tutorial but I have no idea how to film that (no tripod). We'll see, I might figure it out eventually.

After doing my nails this cute playful design, it inspired me to play around with my makeup for the night. Bright, fun, girlie colors; I ended up using a yellow shadow, a mix of pinks, and a deep purple. This look was super easy to do I am definitely doing a tutorial on it.

something i've been enjoying

For months and months my boyfriend has been going fishing, I myself always thought of fishing as a real bore and waste of time. It wasn't until about a month ago when I started getting curious on why my boyfriend enjoyed it so much. I asked him if I could go fishing with him and I must say, the first time we went I again made the conclusion that this wasn't for me.

Then we went a second time, and this trip totally changed my aspect of fishing (these pics are from the 2nd trip). I think it was because of the change of location. The spot we went to this time was near some condo's, and the beach was very calm and serene. A lot of people say the waiting is the hardest part, but to me, its the best part! It's the time I have to spend with my boyfriend, time for good conversations, for laughs.

I am very much looking forward to many more fishing trips with my boo. We actually went "whipping" last week and little ole me caught 2 fish (woohoo!). This is a new hobby, and something to do with the boyfriend. Any time with him, is a good time :)

NYX "thalia" lipstick

First off, let me just say that this lipstick is AMAZING! I featured this lipstick in my very first ever YouTube video! I was a little lighter then, and felt it suited me very well then. It's been about a year now, and I've gotten a tad bit darker. I haven't picked this lipstick up since a year ago I believe, but boy what was I thinking? I LOVE this one!

I have a couple more NYX lipsticks, but they have a frost finish to them which is my least favorite kind of finish, especially for lipsticks. Frost finishes bring out the lines in your lips, which I seem to have a lot of, haha. Anyway, this one is a cream finish, and very creamy indeed! Very easy to apply and the payoff is incredible (as you can see).

It's a pretty bright lipstick (for me at least), very bubblegum pink. But thalia has a very unique purple tint to it, which I love because it is very unexpected. I like to wear this lipstick with a simple eye, just some eyeliner and mascara. Pair it with a nice pink blush and you're set to go! I love pairing bright lips with a almost bare eye. Definitely check this one out if you can.
